Are you a Savvy Traveler?
Helping the world traveler manage their declarable travel purchases.
5/15/2013 App-ealing MarketingSimply Declare Travel App has made some very distinguished blogs, recently being picked as the number one best app to take to Europe by www.myitchytravelfeet.com Why is this important? When a new app comes onto the market there are three stages which help to make any app successful. Now I am not talking about the code writing and the design of the app. The design of any app should be crisp, clean and have the bugs worked out in the early stages of testing. I am talking about the marketing of the app.
First, when the app is finally approved for sale on the AppStore you need to get the app in the hands of the techies and the app review sites. The reviewers will take a look at the overall design, the concept and then give their opinions. Now, sometimes it is a crapshoot to see if the big sites will even answer. Some of the bigger app review sites are inundated with apps from all sources, and honestly they are all looking to review the newest and best new game coming to market. I think travel apps like Simply Declare are so specialized in their use it takes just the right timing for a reviewer, who happens to travel, to take a look and fall in love with Simply Declare. But, that being said, Simply Declare has been very lucky to be recognized by some of the biggest sites as one of the best. I am always thrilled to see my app pop up on the world app review blogs. Second, the app has to get to the hands of the users. A travel app like Simply Declare is an international travel app, so it makes the world my marketing stage. I have had the pleasure of contact with blog sites from around the world picking my app, reviewing my app, and showcasing how my app will help the traveler deal with the stress of tracking what they have to declare when they return to their homelands. Every country has limits as to what their traveler can bring into their homeland; it is the mechanism which protects their own economies. By putting Simply Declare into French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese I have made Simply Declare Travel App a worldwide travel tool, not solely dependant on English speaking travelers. Third, and possibly the hardest stage of all, is the rating and the review stage of the app in the Appstore. Simply Declare is available through the worldwide AppStores, and for every country their needs to be reviews and ratings for each individual country's AppStore. Apple doesn't pool comments into one world store, so each country stands alone. I like to equate rating and reviewing an app with telling your friends and family about the new great restaurant you found down the street. You don’t want your new favorite restaurant to close because you didn’t tell people about what wonderful food is available. If you like my app or any app out there, please rate it and review it. I really appreciate the constructive reviews and I have tried to implemented most of the suggestions into the updated versions of my app. I will always try to make Simply Declare work better for the traveler. Overall, Simply Declare has been rewarded with fabulous reviews by people who have appreciated not having to stress the question “What do you have to declare?” Comments are closed.
